Congrats, 2020 grads!
A lawyer, scientist and businesswoman walk into a bar… and reminisce on their time working together at Beyond English! These three women all crossed paths while working at Beyond English as teachers and members of management. Read below about their accomplishments and how they are working hard to better our society.

MEET HANNAH
She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2011 with a degree in Political Economy. She came to Chile in 2012 planning to be here for a week, and stayed for 4 years! During that time she wore many hats, serving as English teacher, HR Manager, Operations Director, and Finance Director. After BE she worked as a Business manager of a design/build firm for 1 year and became a fitness instructor, then went to law school at UCLA, and just graduated a month ago! After she takes the bar exam, she’ll clerk for a federal district court judge in Los Angeles for a year. Congratulations, Hannah!

MEET BECCA
Becca got her undergrad in Clemson University, where she majored in Finance and minored in Accounting and Spanish. She moved to Santiago in 2015 and worked at Beyond English as a valuable teacher and in management. After, she worked in compliance and risk management at EY Chile. She moved back to the U.S. to get her MBA at the UVA Darden School of Business with a concentration in global business, and recently graduated - congrats, Becca!

MEET KAITLYN
After graduating from University of Oregon with a BS in Human Physiology and Spanish, she worked as a teaching fellow at Beyond English. While at BE, she designed and planned Science Saturday for her students at Colegio Padre Jose Kentenich. She spent one more year in Chile working at the Fundación Ciencia y Vida, which supports biotech startups in Chile and does science education and outreach. She went on to get her MPH in Global Health from UC Berkeley. She spent last summer in Mexico working on a project in Lake Chapala Basin investigating environmental and socio demographic risk factors of chronic kidney disease in adolescents and young adults. She recently graduated this month. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, Kaitlyn!
Our teachers come from many different backgrounds and cultures, but are all united by BE’s social mission to create equal access to English education. We are not only proud of the excellent work our teachers do while employed at BE, but their future contributions to society!
